To calculate the ANGLES revolved by Mars during the orbital periods of the other planets.
The orbital periods of the planets (expressed in Earth days) are as follows:- Mercury, 87.9694 and Venus 224.695 and Earth 365.256 and Mars 686.980 and Jupiter 4330.595 and Saturn 10272.160 and Uranus 30717.682 and Neptune 60215.912 and Pluto 90803.66
To verify these periods, see The Planetary Scientist’s Companion, by Lodders and Fegley, Oxford University Press 1998, Table 2.4 or alternatively, go to the following web page:- www.solarsystemtimeperiods.com/planet-orbital
These angles are calculated in the following manner:-
During One Mercury orbital period, Mars revolves
(87.9694 ÷ 686.980) = 0.128 revolutions.
0.128 x 360 = 46.1 degrees.
During One Venus orbital period, Mars revolves
(224.695 ÷ 686.980) = 0.327 revolutions.
0.327 x 360 = 117.7 degrees.
During One Earth orbital period, Mars revolves
(365.256 ÷ 686.980) = 0.532 revolutions.
0.532 x 360 = 191.4 degrees.
During One Jupiter orbital period, Mars revolves
(4330.595 ÷ 686.980) = 6.3038 revolutions.
0.3038 x 360 = 109.4 degrees.
During One Saturn orbital period, Mars revolves
(10727.160 ÷ 686.980) = 15.615 revolutions.
0.615 x 360 = 221.4 degrees.
During One Uranus orbital period, Mars revolves
(30717.682 ÷ 686.980) = 44.714 revolutions.
0.714 x 360 = 257.1 degrees.
During One Neptune orbital period, Mars revolves
(60215.912 ÷ 686.980) = 87.653 revolutions.
0.653 x 360 = 235.1 degrees.
During One Pluto orbital period, Mars revolves
(90803.66 ÷ 686.980) = 132.178 revolutions.
0.178 x 360 = 64.1 degrees.
