To calculate the ANGLES revolved by Earth during the orbital periods of the other planets.
The orbital periods of the planets (expressed in Earth days) are as follows:- Mercury, 87.9694 and Venus 224.695 and Earth 365.256 and Mars 686.980 and Jupiter 4330.595 and Saturn 10272.160 and Uranus 30717.682 and Neptune 60215.912 and Pluto 90803.66
To verify these periods, see The Planetary Scientist’s Companion, by Lodders and Fegley, Oxford University Press 1998, Table 2.4 or alternatively, go to the following web page:- www.solarsystemtimeperiods.com/planet-orbital
These angles are calculated in the following manner:-
During One Mercury orbital period, Earth revolves
(87.9694 ÷ 365.256) = 0.24084 revolutions.
0.24084 x 360 = 86.7 degrees.
During One Venus orbital period, Earth revolves
(224.695 ÷ 365.256) = 0.6152 revolutions.
0.6152 x 360 = 221.5 degrees.
During One Mars orbital period, Earth revolves
(686.980 ÷ 365.256) = 1.8808 revolutions.
0.8808 x 360 = 317.1 degrees.
That is 1 complete revolution + 317.1 degrees.
During One Jupiter orbital period, Earth revolves
(4330.595 ÷ 365.256) = 11.8563 revolutions.
0.8563 x 360 = 308.3 degrees.
That is 11 complete revolutions + 308.3 degrees.
During One Saturn orbital period, Earth revolves
(10727.160 ÷ 365.256) = 29.3689 revolutions.
0.3689 x 360 = 132.8 degrees.
That is 29 complete revolutions + 132.8 degrees.
During One Uranus orbital period, Earth revolves
(30717.682 ÷ 365.25636) = 84.099 revolutions.
0.099 x 360 = 35.6 degrees.
That is 84 complete revolutions + 35.6 degrees.
During One Neptune orbital period, Earth revolves
(60215.912 ÷ 365.25636) = 164.8593 revolutions.
0.8593 x 360 = 309.4 degrees.
That is 164 complete revolutions + 309.4 degrees.
During One Pluto orbital period, Earth revolves
(90803.66 ÷ 365.256) = 248.603 revolutions.
0.603 x 360 = 217.0 degrees.
